The RIGHT MATERIAL.
PROCESSED RIGHT.

Omaha Custom Manufacturing works with a broad spectrum of metalsand engineered plastics. Our tooling expertise and process knowledge ensurethat every material is stamped, formed, or molded to specification, the first time.

Material Expertise

We Know
Your Material

Material selection drives every tooling, press speed, lubrication, and quality decision on the shop floor. Our engineering team has decades of hands-on experience across ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and high-performance polymers — giving buyers confidence that their program is in experienced hands from day one. Whether your part demands the formability of cold-rolled steel, the corrosion resistance of stainless, or the conductivity of copper, we bring material-specific tooling knowledge and process documentation to every project.

Material Categories

Materials We Process.

Ferrous Metals

Cold-Rolled Steel

Our most commonly stamped material. Cold-rolled steel offers excellent surface finish, tight dimensional tolerances, and consistent formability — ideal for high-volume production runs across automotive, appliance, and structural applications

Stainless Steel

Processed across 300- and 400-series grades for demanding environments. Stainless steel's corrosion resistance and cleanability make it a preferred choice in food processing, medical, and commercial kitchen equipment.

Non-Ferrous Metals

Aluminum

Aluminum's strength-to-weight ratio makes it essential for aerospace, electronics, and transportation markets. We handle alloys from 1100 through 6061 with the tooling expertise needed to prevent cracking at tight radii.

Copper

Copper's unmatched electrical and thermal conductivity makes it a go-to for bus bars, connectors, heat exchangers, and electrical contacts. Special tooling and slower press speeds minimize springback and work-hardening.

Brass

Brass combines machinability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appeal. Common in fittings, valves, instrumentation components, and decorative hardware. We manage the lubrication and die clearances critical for burr-free brass stampings.

Phosphorus Bronze

Phosphorus bronze delivers excellent wear resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion protection. It is commonly used for bushings, bearings, springs, electrical contacts, and other high-performance components.

Non-Metallic Materials

Plastics

Engineered plastics provide lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternatives to metal components while allowing complex geometries and cost-effective production. Suitable for industrial, consumer, and specialty applications.

Rubber

Rubber materials provide flexibility, vibration isolation, sealing performance, and environmental protection across a wide range of applications. Used in gaskets, seals, bumpers, and custom molded products.

Other Materials...

The materials listed, represent only the most commonly processed options; we work with a full range of materials over numerous industries.

Any material, any instustry! Let's have a convesation.

Omaha Custom Manufacturing routinely machines, forms, stamps, and fabricates a wide variety of metals and engineered materials based on application requirements, performance demands, and production needs.

If your project requires a specific alloy, specialty metal, or engineered substrate, our team can help evaluate feasibility and recommend the best manufacturing approach.

From high-precision machining centers and EDM systems to fabrication and finishing equipment, our machines work together as part of an integrated manufacturing workflow. This combination of technology and experience enables us to deliver reliable results for both prototype and production projects while maintaining the flexibility to meet evolving customer needs.
